Hello!
Hope all of you are well, and sorry for the silence! I’ve been busy and re-thinking how to use this newsletter, so that it’s worthy of your subscription, my time, and hopefully, your financial support. And I’m happy with how things are looking.
So; there are going to be three major changes / additions, giving more for the free subscribers, and even more for the paid, and it’s going to be great.
The Digestif: this is a new, weekly newsletter, summarising and linking to all my new articles. You can still be notified whenever I have a new piece out; or, you can just subscribe to this and receive a summary of everything I’ve written for the past week, every Sunday. You can read the first edition here:
The Mailbox: whilst the comment sections for individual articles will still be exclusive to paying subscribers, the comments on The Digestif will be free for all; and I want your questions! Ask about any topic you’re curious for my thoughts on — or, if you wish to remain anonymous, email me questions at randerson@thespectator.com — and, at the end of each month, there will be a ‘Monthly Digestif’, just answering all these questions, exclusive to subscribers. You can also ask them here below!
Arguably: a second season of my podcast will be coming back, but I already work a lot, and the podcast costs me money and time, so it’s been a low priority. The upcoming season is even better than the first - we have some great episodes recorded already - but full episodes will only be available for paying subscribers, with free listeners only getting to hear the first half of the interviews (and missing out on the quick questions; my favourite bit!). When will it come out exactly? When it’s ready.
As always, I really appreciate everyone who subscribes — those who have signed up for free, or especially those who financially support — and if you enjoy my work, please do share it around. And if you didn’t read Murders and Acquisitions yet, then do! It’s the best thing I’ve ever written.
As always, thank you for reading,
Ross
